We hate to break this to you, but leaving your water-doused phone in a bag of rice doesn’t always work!
However, what can help almost every time is a Waterproof Silicone Case. This phone case is rated to be waterproof up to 3 meters, as well as being fully sealed against dirt and grime. It’s an ultra-thin, two-piece case, where one piece goes on the back, and the other snaps onto the front, with small silicone stoppers sealing USB port, speakers, and microphone cut-outs. The phone screen remains completely usable, without having to tap harder than normal.
Though it does enhance protection against water, we still wouldn’t recommend dipping it in a bucket of water on purpose. Easy to pop on and off!
